Pottery – Spring Term

rsz_dsc05956Concentrating on the making process this practical course introduces the fundamental techniques used in hand-built ceramics. Martin Craddock, our trained potter and tutor will guide you through coiling, slabbing and press-moulded dish making in our welcoming and relaxed studio. Throughout the course, there will also be opportunities to throw on the wheel.

Participants will be able to work on their own personal projects under the expert guidance of Martin making items for your home, garden etc.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.

Includes firing and access to specialist equipment.

FRIDAYS, 2-5pm
12 Jan -9 Feb & 23 Feb – 23 Mar

Small Scale Ceramics – Spring Term

rsz_dsc06038Due to increasing demand, we will be running a ‘Small Scale Ceramics’ course commencing in Spring 2018 with our potter, Martin Craddock. This practical course introduces the fundamental techniques used in hand-built ceramics. Martin Craddock, our trained potter and tutor will guide you through coiling, slabbing and press-moulded dish making. There will also be plenty of opportunities to throw on the wheel. Participants will be able to work on their own personal projects under the guidance of Martin making smaller items for your home, garden etc.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some experience.

TUESDAYS, 10-1pm
16 Jan – 6 Feb & 20 Feb – 13 March
£100 for 4 weeks / £180 for 8 weeks.

Pottery Taster Session

Martin Craddock will be running a special Pottery Taster Session on November 3rd 2pm-5pm for those who are interested in attending seasonal Pottery Classes at Arts Alive Wales.

This will be a chance to work alongside Martin, our trained potter and tutor who will be providing guidance working with clay through coiling, slabbing and press-moulded dish making. Come and see the space, and get to know us as an organisation.

There will be a small fee to cover the cost of the materials of £5.
