PRINTMAKING – saturday workshop

DSC05461

Printmaking with Hannah Firmin

In this Saturday workshop printmaker Hannah Firmin will guide you through the importance of drawing to develop a print design.

You’ll create a relief print from drawings made in the studio from observation or reference images and transform these into a design to produce an original relief print in either Lino, vinyl or wood. You don’t have to have experience of drawing for this workshop, the printmaking process reduces tones and simplifies lines to achieve striking results.

Hannah will show examples of her own work and demonstrate the process from initial ideas and drawings to finished artwork.

The workshop is ideal for complete beginners as well as those with some experience.

SATURDAY 18 Nov

10am-3pm £45

This is an exciting time of change for Arts Alive Wales and we want you to be at the heart of it.

In 2016 we were delighted to be included in the Arts Council of Wales portfolio for the first time, which made an investment in our ambitious programme over the next three years. This Spring we welcomed two new members of staff to the team, Rachel Dunlop, Participation Manager and Gavin Johnson, Digital Manager. Our contemporary programme, Peak/Copa and our projects for young people, Caban and Portffolio, as well as our studio programme of creative courses have all grown and developed thanks to the support of the many people and project partners who have been involved.

Now, we’re reviewing how we communicate with you. What might Arts Alive Wales look like, sound like and feel like in the future?

We would be very grateful if you could complete a short survey (which should take no more than 10 minutes) that will help us to find out more about how and why people connect with us and how we can involve more people, of all ages and backgrounds in Arts Alive Wales.

Click here to start the survey.
If you would like this survey in Welsh or large print please contact us.

Deadline for feedback is 5pm Friday 30th June 2017.

Once you’ve completed the survey if you would like to offer additional feedback please email: info@artsalivewales.org.uk  / tel: 01873 811579. We would love to hear from you.

Best wishes
Arts Alive Wales team
