Simon Whitehead An evening walk in the Black Mountains beginning at dusk and moving into the darkness. This nocturnal walk is an opportunity to experience the landscape together with our capacities for night adaptation, whilst sensing the ways that darkness transforms our environment and reveals our perceptual awareness. Allen Fisher [gallery ids="12948,12944,12947,12946,12942,12941"] Allen Fisher has created a new collection of paintings on y Waen Ddu, The Black Bog – a rare raised peat bog situated on the Craig Y Cilau nature reserve in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The artist is drawn to the cultural associations of peat bogs as sites of Iron Age sacrifice, preservation and divination as well as their ecological importance as rich environments of biodiversity and carbon capture.
