Saturday Life Drawing with Tony Tribe A monthly class concerned with the importance of observation of the human figure. You will work directly from the life model with Artist, Tony Tribe, on hand to provide individual guidance. The course will equip you with the technical and perceptual skills to competently render the human figure. Each session will feature a long pose of two or three hours’ length, although shorter poses are always incorporated into the day. Artist, Penny Turnbull, introduces recycled materials, fabric and fun into the Arts Alive studio for our monthly craft club. Woodcut Printmaking with Veronica Gibson Artist Veronica Gibson will guide you through the process of woodcut printmaking using Japanese side grain blocks, enabling you to design and make your own reduction prints. The reduction method is a process of making a multi-colour (or tonally graded ) print from one block. The lightest colour is printed first, then the corresponding area of the block is cut away. The second lightest colour is overprinted on the first and again, the related block areas are eliminated. This reduction method continues until all the colours have been printed.
