Textiles with Bettina Reeves
Designer Bettina Reeves introduces a new four week course focused on the use of design and colour in textiles. With support and guidance from Bettina, students will build their experience of a range of techniques including patchwork, quilting, applique, embroidery and dyeing. There will be emphasis on playing with colour and texture. Students will improve their practical skills and have the opportunity to work on their own creative projects during the course.
Bettina will encourage you to take inspiration from the natural world and produce something practical and decorative or to use the time for experimentation and improvisation.
Please bring any images that inspire you – particularly of colours/contrasts/themes. You will also need a basic sewing kit. Some materials will be provided but if you have any fabrics that you especially want to to use please bring them along.
7th – 28th March
£95 for 4 weeks. Including basic materials.
