Portffolio : 11-15 year olds took place from Monday 20th – Thursday 23rd February 2017. Portffolio (11-15yrs) consisted of a four-day course of creative workshops at Arts Alive Wales as well as a gallery trip to Cardiff. The lead artist for the project was Morag Colquhoun.
Monday 20th: Artist Keith Bayliss, based in Swansea, introduced large-scale drawing and expressive mark-making.
Tuesday 21st: Ceramicist Zoe Preece, based in Cardiff, worked with students to create clay reliefs from observational still life drawings.
Wednesday 22nd: Artist Tessa Waite, based in Brecon, worked alongside students in creating mono prints and collage pieces.
Thursday 23rd: A guided visit to the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff to view the International Artes Mundi exhibition and permanent art collections.
Portffolio is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and Powys County Council and is part of the national Criw Celf initiative.
Arts Alive Wales, Crickhowell is delivering the project in South Powys while Oriel Davies Gallery, Newtown is delivering in the north of the county.
