Morag Colquhoun is an artist with a wide experience of art education and training. Her art practice includes sculpture, photography, installation, performance, video, textiles and curatorial practice. Morag has often worked site-specifically in collaboration with communities in environmental contexts and is interested in developing work that emerges from a zone of uncertainty, exchange and dialogue. She has worked on art projects with many organisations, including Arts Alive Wales, Oriel Davies Gallery, Powys County Council, Hereford Council, Forestry Commission and Aneurin Bevan Health Board. Energy, entropy and ecology are recurrent themes in Morag’s work and in a project supported by Arts Council of Wales she is currently making sculptural dioramas of beeswax plant models.

Morag teaches part-time at Cardiff School of Art and Design and has an MA in Fine Art (CSAD, 2009) and a PGCE teaching qualification. She enjoys working with all age groups and has a particular interest in art and disability. She has led gallery tours and workshops for Artes Mundi Biennial art prize, Engage (the National Association for Gallery Education) and Celf o Gwmpas, the Powys based disability arts organisation. In 2013, Morag was lead artist for the Criw Celf project delivered by Arts Alive Wales.
