Becky Adams is an applied artist based in Penarth, South Wales. She combines stitched paper, vintage fabric, old sketchbooks and antique ephemera to create intricate textile and book works.

Becky studied Fine Art and English Literature in Liverpool (BA Hons) in 1994 and later gained an MA in Book Arts in 2001. She has since supplemented her studio practice with running workshops and undertaking artist residencies throughout the UK. Past residencies include Ruthin Craft Centre, Kings Lynn Museum, Queenswood School For Girls and Plas Newydd.

Becky exhibits regularly and has work in the Tate, V&A and London School Of Printing collections.

She currently has her own touring exhibition, The Curious World of Becky Adams.

“Becky Adams is a collector of stories; they become an integral part of her life and are ingrained into the making of her work through the sophisticated use of stitch, vintage fabric and antique ephemera. There is a subtle and respectful glance to the study of the human condition; each piece is aware of its past, its present and its untold future. Through the natural language of her work, each piece becomes an embodiment of a story preserved within each careful stitch.”
