Artist Visit to Llwyn Celyn, Llanthony Valley

Wednesday 8th October 2014

PEAK is currently working on a pilot project, in partnership with The Landmark Trust, to develop a programme of artist residencies during 2015-18, in response to the Trust’s renovation of Llwyn Celyn, a medieval house and farm in the Llanthony Valley. On 8th October a group of selected artists living and working in the Black Mountains were invited to visit the site. The proposed residencies will give artists the opportunity to research an historically important Grade I listed site and sensitively explore the building’s renovation – examining the physical and social ecology that is lost as well as gained.
