SPRINGFIELD Art & Singing Summer Courses

Springfield is returning for a second summer of art and singing courses for this year led by Nicki Heenan and Lizzie Godden, alongside 3 new artists.




June 11th – An introduction to Mapuche weaving with Liz Beasley


Liz will be using natural fibers of sheep wool and alpaca wool from Chile, on a homemade loom.


June 17th- 18th – An introduction to Cold Wax with Nicki Heenan


Back by popular demand, Nicki will be teaching the basic skills to tackle abstract compositions with cold wax and oil paint.


July 1st –  2nd – An introduction to Eco-Printing with Lizzie Godden


Back by popular demand, Lizzie will be teaching the process of printing onto fabric, silk and paper with leaves. This one day course will run on Saturday and Sunday.


July 14th- 16th No Pressure singing workshop with Fi Evans


August 12th- 13th – Advanced Cold Wax workshop with Nicki Heenan


The second part of cold wax work is finally here! Nicki will be furthering work with Cold Wax for artists to develop their work technically and aesthetically.


September 1st – 2nd– Wabi Sabi with Tara Axford                                  


All the way from Australia, Tara will be teaching the art of gathering nature into mono-prints and artist books. This one day course will be run on Saturday and Sunday.


September 16th- 17th – Advanced Eco-Printing with Lizzie Godden


An advanced course will be teaching a brand new course on eco-printing, details to follow.


September 22nd- 24th No Pressure singing workshop with Fi Evans


October 6th-8th – Landscaping with Jayne Tricker


Jayne will be running a fantastic landscape course on colour and structure with watercolour acrylic and oil techniques.


November 17th- 19th – No Pressure singing workshop with Fi Evans
